Can you take the heat?

Fearless fundraisers are offered the ultimate challenge to walk across hot coals for Trinity Women's Services https://trinitywinchester.org.uk/women/ and The Hope Street Project https://onesmallthing.org.uk/hopestreet . Both charities work with women to overcome the effects of domestic abuse.

Sign up to face your fears and walk a short distance, 15ft to be exact, across hot coals. It may sound tough but it’s perfectly safe. Some say it feels like heat through your soles, others say it’s freezing cold - whichever one it is, it certainly won’t be a feeling you’ll forget.

As a Firewalker you will receive full training an hour before the Firewalk from Scott Bell who is the twice Guinness World Record holder for the ‘Greatest Fire Walking Distance’ - 328 feet. The training will begin at 6.30pm and the Firewalk will start at 7.30pm. Walkers should be 12 years of age +.

Scott will explain the history of Firewalking and the technique behind it to build your confidence to complete the challenge. The Firewalk is run by Firewalk UK, the Uk's leading Firewalking experts.

Our intrepid team of Jane Oakes, Deborah Macartney, Diana Brooks and Clive Cook are all taking part. We'd love it if you could either sponsor them here, or take part yourself.

Sponsorship

As well as the challenge of walking over coals, we ask you to raise a minimum of £100 for the charities.

Setting up a fundraising page with JustGiving takes a few moments of your time. Every penny raised goes back into providing vital support for overcoming the effects of domestic abuse. Following this link, you can connect your page directly with our event in JustGiving, simplifying the whole process.

Alternatively, you can collect a sponsorship form from Trinity Winchester or contact fundraising@winchester-rotary.org .
