Story
On Sunday the 20th of July after Church a group of us from Staines Congregational Church will be raising money for SportsReach and their work overseas in Kenya by walking down to Staines train station for 1:30pm to get the train to Windsor and then walk back setting off at 2pm hoping to arrive back at about 7pm. This walk will be roughly 8 miles and we hope to see as many as are able joining us for a time of fellowship and fundraising! After arriving back at Staines Cong we hope to have a time of celebration and remembrance of our brother Billy as the walk will be taking place one day after what would have been his 21st Birthday. Billy loved working for something bigger than himself, so seems fitting to join the events together.
Any money raised would go towards SportsReach as they aim to help Midanne international academy (the sponsored school they support) build a much needed kitchen and dining hall facility. The new hall and kitchen is hoped not only to help to provide the children with breakfast and lunch each day but also allow them to hold youth discipleship conferences at the school when to children are away! Having visited the school in September I can say that the children receive a great caring education both in the Lord and in practical skills and cannot recommend this cause enough as the money will be going into trustworthy hands!

Pictured below are photos of the old kitchen and the plans for the new facility:

God bless,
Harvey
