52 years old and still haven't learned when to be quiet... especially when I'm on a radio show… 😳✈️

On Sunday 27th September, I’m going to be strapped to the top of an aeroplane to raise money for the wonderful Kangaroos of Mid Sussex.

And this definitely wasn’t something I had planned!

I've got to know Kangaroos Mid Sussex through my work with Toucan52. One of my clients, The Orchards Shopping Centre, chose them as their Charity of the Year, and through working together I've learned about the incredible support they provide to children and young adults with learning disabilities and additional needs, as well as their families. I've also seen how hard they work...

Then came a radio interview…

The Orchards management and the team from Kangaroos happened to be listening when the subject of wing walking came up. For reasons I’m now seriously questioning, I casually announced that I’d always wanted to do a wing walk.

What I actually meant was that I'd always wanted to do one WHEN I WAS YOUNGER. MUCH YOUNGER. 😂

Unfortunately, everyone heard me.

And my client didn't forget!

They went a step further and managed to arrange a sponsor to cover the cost of my wing walk, and left me in a position where I couldn't really say no. I guess I have to thank Adrian at AM Noon Ltd for this - but I may save that for when I've landed safely.

So now it's actually happening - and I'd love to raise at least £1,500 for Kangaroos.

Because the cost of the wing walk itself has been sponsored, the money I raise through this challenge can go towards supporting Kangaroos and the fantastic work they do.

Whether it's £5, £10, £20 or more, I'd be incredibly grateful for every donation.

And if we happen to smash £1,500? Even better. Let's see just how much we can raise before someone straps me to that plane!
