Story
Last November, my wife and mum of Alfie (11) and Harry (10) was cruelly taken away from us at the young age of 43, just 11 months after being diagnosed with an incurable brain tumour during Christmas 2023.

The final two weeks of her journey were spent in the care of The Hospice of the Good Shepherd, and we will always be grateful for the way they looked after her, ensuring a dignified end to her life.

From that point onwards, we set about as a family, determined to raise a figure of £15,000 for the Hospice which is the equivalent of a day's running costs for them. We're currently at £3,500 and are about to embark on our most ambitious fundraiser yet.
On Saturday 30th August, myself and Michelle's niece Emily, will be doing a Wing Walk to help raise more funds towards this target for the Hospice, and there is a story behind this.

A few years ago, my late wife saw the programme 'An Idiot Abroad' where Karl Pilkington was doing a Wing Walk, and Michelle said that looked fun, so I kept that thought in my head and bought that very present for her the following Christmas!
Her reaction was classic, not exactly enthused with the idea, but to her amazing credit and bravery, she did it around the skies of Gloucestershire, and so when the thoughts of what could we do to raise funds in Michelle's memory, this one was top of the list!!
So, this is it, we're going to do the Wing Walk in Michelle's memory, and we need your help in getting us to that £15k target..
Please consider any donation amount and please help us by spreading the word about our challenge!
We'd love it if any local businesses out there would also like to get involved too! We're planning on doing a 'Flight Donations Board' and creating a special T-Shirt to thank those that have donated to this latest challenge that befits Michelle's memory. If being kind enough to donate then please leave your business name on there so we can thank you accordingly!
