Story
We are coming together as a cold water community to our celebrate Christmas Day Swim by remembering the great work the RNLI do for our town.
This is an unofficial Swim and people come at their own risk.
We are meeting behind the Cove West cafe along the prom on Christmas Day morning and ready to Swim at 9:30am.
We will be bringing back the traditional count down then walk/run into the sea.
All welcome, if you've not done a cold water swim before please visit our Facebook page 'Winter Warriors Challenge' for some great cold water tips and advice.
TO ALL ATTENDING THIS SWIM IS A VOLUNTARY DONATION, SO GIVE WHAT YOU CAN AFFORD IF POSSIBLE.
THANK YOU to the RNLI Weston Super Mare service for everything you do xxxxxxx
Details below on what they do.........
Weston-super-Mare lifeboat station was established in the early 1882 and has served the community for 142 years.
The volunteer lifeboat crew provide a 24-hour search and rescue service 365 days a year, but none of this would be possible without the support of the public and their donations. It costs in the region of £130k a year to run and maintain the service in Weston-super-Mare, all of which comes from the generous donations of the public.
Your donation will help to fund the selfless work of our volunteer lifeboat crew in Weston-super-Mare, by doing so you will be helping to save lives around our coast and will be providing the best equipment possible to ensure the safety of our volunteers.
