In memory of Finn Winter
We support young people at risk of suicide to stay safe and find hope in times of need

Story

On the 6th of January 2024 a group of Old Brightonian 1XV mates will be participating in the Winter “Fan Dance” to celebrate the life and honour the memory of our teammate Finn Winter who we lost to suicide earlier this year.  We have renamed the challenge the “Winter Finn Dance”.

Our purpose for undertaking this challenge is to raise money for the charity PAPYRUS, which dedicates their work to prevent young suicide and promote positive mental health and well-being.

The Fan Dance Race entails a 24km march up the Pen-y-Fan mountain in the Brecon Beacons with each participant carrying 15kg of load. The race represents the oldest Special Forces Selection test, and we’ll be following the exact gruelling course used in the test.

You can find more information about the event if you choose by following the link below:

Any donations would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks
