Shared sorrow is half sorrow; shared joy is double joy, Swedish proverb. Double Joy Children's Farm is a project in western Kenya, giving safe haven to 63 vulnerable children, funded by Friends of Double Joy (England reg. charity no.1087172) All money raised goes directly there (no UK salaries).

Story

Yikes what have I got myself into, it’s happening — I’m doing a skydive… and my son is the pilot.

I’m just jumping for fun ( hmm…not sure about that!) — so the jump is already paid for, but I thought I may as well put it out there for charity too. So I’m doing it to raise money for Double Joy, a children’s home in Kenya that supports and cares for orphaned children with love, education, and hope for a brighter future.

I was introduced to this charity recently and it seems like a fabulous cause.

Double joy is taken from the Swedish proverb that a shared joy is a double joy and a shared sorrow is half a sorrow.

I love that concept that a shared joy is a double joy, when you share your happiness with others, it amplifies your joy and their joy. It’s a win win!

Every donation, big or small, will go directly to support their amazing work.
