Wivey Pool is almost 100 years old and we want to help secure its future for another 100 years. The spiraling costs of energy are crippling the pool's revenue streams, last year’s gas bill was £7000, this year it was projected to be £25000. Consequently the trustees took the sad decision to curtail their opening last September, to close over Autumn, Christmas and have delayed opening this year until the average ambient air temperatures rise. The pool has invested in a air source heat exchange system to help ween them off gas and be more environmentally friendly going forward. Without future proofing the pool there remains a risk the pool will close indefinitely. We want to help save Wivey Pool for future generations to enjoy as we have.
