Bridgend Foodbank (BFb) is an affiliated member of a network of over 400 Foodbanks seeded by the Trussell Trust. The Trussell Trust is a Christian charity which opened the first Foodbank in Salisbury in 1999. BFb opened in December 2009 and distributes food to individuals and families in crisis from 11 Distribution Centres which are located throughout Bridgend County Borough. The range of opening hours means that there is at least one Distribution Centre open each day between Monday and Friday.

Story

With the current Cost of Living Rises and more and more families needing help the WKC Maesteg Shotokan Karate Club are raising money for the Bridgend Foodbank by walking PenyFan on 2nd April 2023.

The Foodbank supports families and individuals facing crisis; benefit delays, redundancy, bereavement, job loss, homelessness, sickness, low income. Nutritionists ensure food parcels contain sufficient nutrition for healthy, balanced meals. They offer a warm friendly welcome where no one judges. ❤️

More and more families and individuals are needing help and support during this worrying time and any donation would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you from all of us at WKC Maesteg Shotokan Karate Club & WKC Bryn Shotokan Karate Club.
