On 3rd August 2024, volunteers from WMCF will be joining the Big Ride for Palestine, cycling from Newport in Wales to Bristol in England to raise money for MECA for the children of Gaza. We hope you will donate generously towards this worthy cause.

About Middle East Children's Alliance (MECA)

MECA is a non-profit organisation working for the rights and well-being of children in the Middle East. MECA supports dozens of community projects for Palestinian children and refugees from Syria. Since 1988 they have delivered $31 million in food and medical aid to Palestine, Iraq, and Lebanon. MECA welcomes the support of all people who care about children and their future.

Gaza Emergency

Amidst the ongoing attack on Gaza, MECA team and partners are providing emergency assistance to families who have fled their homes to seek shelter with relatives as well as procuring emergency medical supplies for hospitals and clinics.

MECA have been working in Gaza for thirty-five years. They have a team of staff and volunteers on the ground in Gaza and a network of grassroots partners. From sending shipments of medicine for clinics to delivering warm clothes to children in winter to funding teachers and psychologists to help children learn and heal, they work to meet the many needs of children in Gaza. Right now they are providing emergency aid to children and families in need.
