Story
We are fundraising for the Hardship Fund of Warwick Medical School. At Warwick Medical School (WMS), our students come from varied backgrounds, each bringing distinctive experiences and viewpoints that enhance them as your future doctors. Nevertheless, medical students encounter significant financial challenges, due to irregular working hours and the necessity to acquire costly items such as stethoscopes and medical textbooks. Without assistance, numerous promising aspiring doctors may face obstacles in progressing within the profession, and this has been made worse by the recent cost of living crisis.
A group of WMS staff have signed up to the Wolf Run on Sunday 28th April 2024 to raise funds for the WMS Hardship Fund. Some of us are very fit and well placed to do this challenging event. At least one of us had a bit of a midlife crisis and signed up thinking they'd 'still got it' but training at the gym is showing them that they most definitely haven't! And some people have not even started any training yet, but hope sheer determination will see them through! Regardless, on the day we will be working together as a team to get through all the obstacles, have some fun (probably!), and most importantly to raise some funds for the WMS Hardship Fund.
