You can't attend? This year the Woburn Luxury Gift Fair is supporting CHUMS.

CHUMS hopes to provide mental health and emotional wellbeing support to as many children and young people across Bedfordshire as we can. Friends of CHUMS currently funds 5 services which include the Bedfordshire Suicide Bereavement Service, Babyloss Service and Recreational Therapeutic Service. Without support from fundraisers and donors CHUMS would not be able to provide support to the children, young people and families who otherwise may not receive help when they need it most.

CHUMS supports five vital services which are funded entirely through charitable fundraising. These services include our:

• Trauma Service

• Babyloss Service

• Recreational Therapeutic Service

• Disability Friendship Scheme and

• Bedfordshire Suicide Bereavement Service

CHUMS is present in every village and town across Bedfordshire, but you may not hear about them until you or a loved one suddenly needs their support. Over the last year they have supported 18 children, young people and their families in Woburn and the surrounding villages. This number rises to close to 2,500 receiving mental health and emotional wellbeing support once you extend to Luton, the rest of Bedfordshire and beyond, supporting those that have been bereaved, traumatised, or suffer with other mental health challenges.

To provide these services, and ensure they continue, their small fundraising team needs to raise more than £600,000 every year.

Money raised during this year’s Woburn Luxury Gift Fair will help fund:

• £7 workbooks to support a child bereaved by suicide to overcome loss and grief.

• £175 for 1:1 specialist sessions for a traumatised child or young person to process traumatic experiences such as sexual or domestic abuse and traumatic bereavement.

• £420 for a 6-week programme with our Recreational Therapeutic Service for 1 young person struggling with anxiety, low mood, or challenging behaviour.
