Refurbishment of Wolvey Village Hall
We are raising funds to refurbish & modernise The Hall.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.

The Village Hall was built in 1920 for £1,119, and is the War Memorial for Wolvey. The hall benefits the whole of the local and wider community and is used every day

The hall now needs substantial refurbishment to bring it up to date and to improve accessibility, energy efficiency, kitchen facilities, and to include a community cafe.

Prudent management over the last century has resulted in a substantial redevelopment reserve, and we have been awarded £14,500 from the Warwickshire Green Shoots Fund, £833.33 from Wolvey Parish Council, £75,000 from Veolia Environmental Trust, £500 from Genesis Recruitment, and we also have a pledge of £25,000 once we have completed fundraising. We have now raised sufficient to start Phase 1 of the required works, and continue to apply for grant support. We would prefer for Phase 2 of the works to be completed simultaneously to minimise disruption, but we still need to raise a further £50,000 to enable us to complete the required works. Our amazing fundraising team continue to put on coffee mornings, quizzes, musical evenings and other events. Please be as generous as you can - 100% of funds received will be applied to the redevelopment.
