Story

On 28th June, I’ll be joining hundreds of fellow Wimbledon fans to take on the Wombles Walk challenge — a 21.1km half marathon starting and finishing at AFC Wimbledon’s home at Plough Lane.

The route takes us through the beautiful surroundings of Wimbledon Common and Richmond Park before returning back to Plough Lane — and while 21.1

km will be a challenge, the reason behind it makes every single step worthwhile.

I’m raising money for the AFC Wimbledon Foundation’s Club Together Bursary — a fund that gives children, young people, and families opportunities they may otherwise never have.

The bursary provides free access to:

* Sports sessions and holiday camps

* Coaching and refereeing courses

* Match tickets for AFC Wimbledon men’s and women’s games

* Opportunities for local people to gain qualifications, confidence, and a sense of belonging

For some families, these experiences are simply out of reach financially. This fund helps make sure no young person is left behind because of circumstance.

Football clubs are about more than what happens on the pitch. They are about community, hope, friendship, and giving people a place where they feel they belong. That’s exactly what this bursary helps provide.

So I’m asking, if you can, please donate.

Every step I take is for someone who deserves that opportunity.

And every £1 you give will help make a real difference to someone’s life.

Thank you so much for your support.
