As part of the SP Energy Networks 5 District Walk, the Mersey District Team is proud to raise funds for a charity that’s been a lifeline to so many in Liverpool and the surrounding areas – Woodlands Hospice.

Compassionate Care When It’s Needed Most

Woodlands Hospice provides specialist palliative care, advice and support for people with life-limiting illnesses across North Liverpool, South Sefton and Kirkby.

Their focus is on helping people live the best quality of life possible – with dignity, respect and compassion – whether that’s through pain and symptom management, emotional support, or simply giving patients and families the time and space to make the most of every day.

Services include:

*Inpatient care and day therapy

*Home-based care and support

*Bereavement counselling for families

*Complementary therapies and wellbeing support

*Expert end-of-life care delivered with humanity and heart

Every person who walks through their doors is treated with warmth, dignity, and as an individual. And while their clinical care is exemplary, it’s the human touch – the time, care, and understanding – that makes Woodlands truly special.

For the Mersey District Team, this walk is personal. We’ve seen the impact Woodlands Hospice has on families during their most difficult days. The care they offer isn’t just about medical needs – it’s about being there for people at the hardest moments of their lives.

In a city built on community and compassion, Woodlands represents the very best of Liverpool. And we’re proud to walk every mile for them.

The 5 District Walk

From Sankey Bridges to Bagillt, we’ll cover 70km across two days – a challenge that connects every SP Energy Networks district in the Manweb licence area.

Our goal? To raise £50,000 across the five districts for six incredible charities – and ensure they can keep doing their life-changing work.
