Now in its fourth year the Memorial Shield is a community football match and charity day held in memory of our beautiful Emma Woods who passed away in 2021 aged 20.

The 2025 Memorial Shield Football Match this year will kick at 12.30pm at Lynn Grove Academy in Gorleston on Sunday 7 September followed by a raffle and BBQ at the Lichfield Arms in Southtown.

Since the Memorial Shield started in 2021 the event has brought family, friends and the wider community together and raised an incredible £8,765 for causes close to our hearts.

This year we are fundraising on behalf of The Pear Tree Fund, a local charity dedicated to helping families navigate grief and loss with compassion and support.

This event is a day of remembrance, love and unity. A beautiful way to honour Emma's memory while helping others in need. Thank you to everyone who has played, attended or supported this event so far. It means so much to us.
