The Gordon Foundation was founded by Royal Charter at the express wish of Queen Victoria as the National Memorial to Major-General Charles George Gordon, C B, who was killed in Khartoum in 1885. Since its foundation, Gordon's School has been privileged to have the reigning monarch as its Patron.

Story

The 13th - 17th May is Mental Health Awareness Week and during this week the whole of Woolwich House (students and staff) are taking on the challenge of running as many laps of the front field as we can. We are doing this to promote awareness of the positive mental benefits that exercise and movement can have, as well as raising as much money as we can for our three school charities - CRY, Papyrus and The Royal Marsden cancer charity.

We will be getting up early for laps before breakfast, donning our trainers during break and lunch as well as spending evening free time pacing round the track! The challenge will start at 6.30am on Monday 13th May and will finish at 8.30pm on Thursday 16th May.

The Woolwich students would appreciate as much support as possible as they take on this challenge so any donation no matter what size would be hugely appreciated!
