Glyn Gant is raising money for Douglas Macmillan Hospice
In memory of Sam Gant

Christmas Single · 14 November 2025

Douglas Macmillan Hospice (Dougie Mac) is the only hospice in Staffordshire supporting Children, Young Adults & Adults. Care is given to patients who are living with a life-limiting illness at our two sites and in the community. We also provide support for patients families and their carers.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.

The song is the work of two local radio presenters, Glyn Gant and Steve Lewis, who present The Saturday Show with Glyn & Steve on local community station The Cat 107.9. The single has been professionally recorded and produced by Lee Platt at his studios in Staffordshire and also features Glyn's wife Julie and his son Dan on guitar.

More than just a song, this special release aims to make a real difference. 100% of proceeds from the single will go directly to support the Douglas Macmillan Hospice (Dougie Mac), a cherished local charity providing vital end-of-life care and support to patients and families across Stoke-on-Trent and North Staffordshire.

Brimming with festive spirit and a touch of 70’s - style charm, “Christmas Ain’t The Same Without Woolworths” brings back fond memories of pick 'n' mix, glittering tinsel aisles, and those magical moments when Woolies was the go-to destination for Christmas shopping. Whether you grew up dancing to Christmas hits on cassette or spent your pocket money on stocking fillers, this song is a warm reminder of Christmases gone by — and the importance of community today.

The song is available to download on all major sites from November 14th 2025.
