On 23rd March, the Master, will accompany the Sheriffs, their Shrieval Consorts and other Livery Masters in walking the 5.2 miles to Brixton and, potentially, back to Old Bailey (on the assumption he gets enough sustenance from lunch at ‘The Clink’) to raise money for the excellent Sheriffs’ and Recorder’s Fund (SRF).

As you know, the SRF is a long-established fund that works closely with the Probation Service to help recent prison leavers, and offers grants to prison-based charitable schemes which work towards the rehabilitation of prison leavers. The Master and his Consort both regard the SRF as a most worthwhile cause, linked in many ways to the work of the Koestler Foundation that Jane supports, and so they have generously agreed to “double-match” any donations from Company Members……………………..so please give generously.
