Worthing High School's Biennial Sponsored Walk in aid of Chestnut Tree House 2025

Worthing High School is raising money for Chestnut Tree House Children's Hospice

Worthing High School - Biennial Sponsored Walk · 19 June 2025

Chestnut Tree House is the children’s hospice for East Sussex, West Sussex, Brighton and Hove and South East Hampshire, caring for 300 children and young adults from 0-19 years of age every year, both at the hospice and in families’ own homes.

Story

On Thursday 19th June, our biennial sponsored walk will take place. The walk takes staff and students from Worthing High School to Chanctonbury Ring and will require lots of resilience to complete the 12 miles. This walk has taken place every two years since 1999, and during that time, we have raised over £100,000 for Chestnut Tree House. This is an opportunity for our school community to work together to raise funds for this amazing charity.

Chestnut Tree House is a children’s charity providing hospice care and community support for children and young people with life-threatening and life-limiting conditions. There are hundreds of children and young people in our local community who are unlikely to reach adulthood. And even more parents and family members who need care, help and support on their journey, as they don't know how long they will have together. Your support helps families to spend time together. Precious moments that give a lifetime of memories.

Our target again this year is £15,000 and if all participants are able to raise £20, we will smash that target!
