Break in at Wotton Community PARC

Michael Marshall is raising money for Wotton Community PARC
Wotton Community PARC (WCP) is a 38 acre truly multifunction, multi sport, recreational, leisure and community facility, which is open to the public 24hrs a day, 7 days a week with the majority of the PARC being free to use. The PARC was created in the year 1999 and has grown to host over 135,000 visits per year and is still growing. The site is managed by the charity Wotton Community Sports Foundation (WCSF) and receives no public funding. Wotton Rovers Youth Football Club, Wotton Hockey Club, Wotton Rugby Club, parkrun and Junior parkrun are all clubs based in the PARC. Katherine Lady Berkeley secondary school use our artificial pitches for a range of sports and the wider PARC for cross country. As well as formally structured sports usage we have a skatepark and BMX pump track facility free for public use and have many joggers and social football players regularly using our site. We also host events such as the Cotswold Challenge and County Cross Country running. Alongside the sports use of the site we have many community and leisure groups, Sensory Garden Group, Story Telling, Poetry Group, Forest School, Orchard Group, Beehive Group, Tree planting group, car boot sale, Bonfire night and an annual Party in the PARC music festival.

Story

Unfortunately in July we had a break in at Wotton Community PARC, they stole a number of small items, strimmer, Jerry can full of diesel and attempted to steal a tractor. However in the process of breaking in they smashed through our gates and cut open our containers, the damage to the property ended up costing more than the replacement items. As we don't receive any public money from the council or KLB school for the running of the PARC we are appealing to the community to help us recover the costs of this break in.
