Story
The situation in Gaza is escalating fast.
Action Against Hunger has been working in Gaza since 2005 and in the West Bank since 2002.
They're now working with suppliers who still have stock inside Gaza to urgently distribute basic short-term supplies such as water, food, hygiene products, nappies, blankets and mattresses. And, are also providing a cleaning service at one of the displacement shelters and have given emergency cash to families so they can buy essentials.
Vital humanitarian support is needed now more than ever. But they need our help to meet the needs of thousands of people in Gaza.
To be clear -Wrisk is not trying to be political with this... (We know it is really sensitive and polarising for people and we personally know people of both sides who have been impacted by this.)
We are hoping that the humanitarian position is an uncontentious one.
Clinton said it well back in 1998: "We must acknowledge that neither side has a monopoly on pain or virtue..."
It is clear that a disproportionate number of children are being impacted within Gaza so we felt I needed to do something from a humanitarian perspective.
(We really really don't want to alienate or offend anyone and wholeheartedly apologise if we have!).
In support of the campaign Wrisk's bearded colleagues have agreed to shave them off. If we get to £1k Darius will shave off his, at £1,150 Neil will, at £1,300 Kaj, at £1,500 Ned, at £2k Shiv will and at £3k Phil will :-)
Thank you for giving today!
