10 Hours in the Treehouse

Helen Kenwright is raising money for Woodland Trust

Writing Marathon · 30 July 2026

The Woodland Trust is the UK's leading woodland conservation charity who creates, protects and cares for woodland across the UK. We are working hard to create a UK rich in native woods and trees, for people and wildlife. But we can't do this alone. We can't achieve our vision without you.

Story

As the very last event before the Writing Tree takes it's August break, we are running a very special Treehouse Session, to support the Writing Tree's favourite charity, the Woodland Trust.

On Thursday 30th July 2026, The Writing Tree will run ten of it's popular 'Treehouse' sessions on Zoom, where writers come to write in the company of others. Each hour, on the hour, (with a break between 5pm and 6pm), we'll start with a welcome and a fresh prompt, followed by 50 minutes of writing and a little chat at the end.

Our director, Helen, will be there for every single session, to raise money for the Writing Tree's favourite charity, the Woodland Trust. Yes, she will be writing for ten hours in one day!

If you'd like to attend a session to keep her company you can sign up at our events page - there's a special price of £1 for those donating here - but seeing the total rise here will keep her going too!
