Story
As parents of a participant in the 2023 World Scout Jamboree in South Korea this August, we have been overwhelmed by the fantastic care and support the UK Scout Association provided during such a challenging event.
We believe the UK Scout Association has acted in an exemplary manner, taking decisive action when necessary and ensuring the safety of the Young People in the UK contingent. They have also worked hard to keep them entertained with some great activities and found safe accommodation at such short notice to keep them comfortable.
Unfortunately as a result of all their efforts, you will have seen in the news that the Chief Executive, Matt Hyde, has reported that the early relocation from the Jamboree back to Seoul will cost the UK Scout Association more than £1m from its reserves.
With this fundraising effort, we want to allow all the parents, carers, friends and family to show their gratitude in a meaningful way and do our bit to replenish the reserves of the UK Scout Association and help to ensure future opportunities for other young people are not impacted by this year's events.
We appreciate that everyone has already raised a lot of money to get their children to the Jamboree, so please donate whatever amount you feel you can give. It's about more than just the money; we also want to get a lot of names on this page to show our appreciation to the Scout Association.
All the money from this page will go directly to Scout Association in the UK via JustGiving.
Thanks for supporting Scouts! Scouts doesn't just help young people to learn #SkillsForLife, it helps parents and communities too. But, don't just take our word for it, speak to our latest fundraiser to get their story.
Scouts has helped millions of people over the years, but there's still thousands of young people on our waiting list. With your help, another young person can enjoy new activities, make new friends and embrace new opportunities.
Thank you for your incredible support.
