As the target to construct a wudhu area in Afghanistan was more than met within a matter of hours on Yawm Al-Arafah last month, rather than the surplus funds be used for other ‘Gift of Water’ projects, I thought what better way for us to begin the new Hijri year then to not only give in the best form of sadaqah but also donate towards towards a project which will be an on going charity for us all.

The wudhu area will provide clean water to thousands of individuals for years to come and will (Insha’Allah) act as a form of sadaqah jariyah for yourself or anyone that you may donate on behalf of, and the reward will not just be attained for every single time that someone performs wudhu with this water, but for all of the ibadah that they then carry out thereafter.

Given the financial aid cuts that the Afghan people have faced from across the world since the liberation of the country following nearly half a century of oppression, and the implementation of the shariah of Allah(swt), it is our duty to support them in whichever way that we can to help rebuild and restore the country.

NB: Our first wudhu area has already been booked in and will be ready within 5 months, and as a set amount is required for our second wudhu area, this fundraising page will be closed once the target has been met, as this is not an appeal I will be committing to for the remainder of the year ahead.
