Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.
We're a team of 4 (Nic, Ben, Ross & Dan) (very) old school friends who thought it was a great idea to take on this strenuous challenge in the French Alps, trekking through the world-famous Chamonix valley under the shadows of Mont Blanc, Western Europe’s tallest mountain. And then up it! Why? Well... it started out as a middle-aged-men-in-Lycra idea, and developed into raising money for a good cause.
Wildlife Vets International (WVI) is a UK-based wildlife conservation charity with a global remit.
Successful outcomes in conservation require multi-disciplinary approaches. WVI provides expert health input to these complex projects, improving the chances of success. Nic, as a wildlife vet, is passionate about supporting WVI, as he gets to see first hand how it can build capacity in key places for positive biodiversity impact. Your donation can help WVI continue to work where biodiversity loss due to disease is most apparent, or the risk of it is high. Countering disease threats that are driving extinction is a key way in which we can shift the balance.
Our fundraising can help WVI partner local conservationists with specialist vets, to make sure essential skills are transferred to vets & biologists working in biodiverse but often economically disadvantaged regions, where opportunities to train in wildlife medicine remain limited.
Together we really can make a difference to wildlife conservation.
Please give what you can and inspire us to the summit!
Thank you so much for your support.
