Story

Hi, my name is Xander. i'm in year 6 and I've been growing my hair for 3 years, the aim was always to have it long enough to make a wig for a child with cancer or another illness.

It's been a challenge at times, I've been teased by other kids and told I should get a hair cut, I've been mistaken for a girl by complete strangers and I've even been told off for going in the mens' toilets. It was all worthit though because I knew why I was doing it.

The thought of some other kid being so ill then also having to loose their hair aswell is devastating to me. I cant cure cancer but I can do this little thing to make one kid feel a bit better about themselves and make them smile.

I'll be having the big chop at St Thomas COE primary schools' summer fair 7th July, if you would rather donate in person. If you choose to donate, even the smallest amount I will be so thankful and you'll be a HAIRO just like me !!

If By any chance we hit our target any extra will go towards a professional fitting of the wig ( £180) and excess also goes towards helping fund research into cures for childhood cancers. Thankyou in advance!!
