I’m Xave and I am currently training for a series of ultramarathons that I will be completing over the next year and a half. Starting with 50 miles in Snowdonia in June, 100 miles (in Snowdonia again) in September, building up to 215 miles in the Scottish Highlands in August 2025. Along the way I will also be taking part in GB Ultra training runs.

I will be running the GB Ultras events, they organise ultramarathon events across the country. I am a keen distance runner, but this will be a new and exciting challenge for me! Learning to navigate whilst running all terrain, carrying supplies, and only stopping to (maybe) sleep and eat. The routes involve climbing mountains, and running through the night over multiple days.

I hope to raise as much money as possible for Dorothy House, a charity that provides palliative care nurses who are kind, effective, and hard working - all free of charge.

They are especially significant to myself and my family as they provided expert care to my mother before she died. They were extremely kind and supported the family greatly towards the end.

The 215 mile ultramarathon will be held on the 2 year anniversary of her death.

With the money raised, Dorothy House will be able to provide more care to those in need. They provide care that is exemplary and all work extremely hard.
