For anyone that somehow missed it, I have long hair. Hair long enough to tuck into my pants and replace my entire personality with. Anyway... last year my mum lost her life to pancreatic cancer, and tbh the last 10 or so years have been filled with a pretty grim amount of family, friends and pets who have also lost their lives. My mum ALWAYS loved my hair long, she saved a lock of it when I got an undercut at the age of 17. At 21, I shaved my head and she said she'd disown me if I ever did it again. When she was diagnosed, and we were talking about treatments and hairloss, I said I'd do a "solidarity shave" if she lost her hair (she did not, so silver linings, I guess?) her response was simply "you bloody well won't." So I guess this is one last act of teenage rebellion at age 31.
