Bristol Bears Community Foundation is the club’s award-winning charity, delivering programmes that are proven to change the lives of people across the region. The registered charity works with over 8,000 people from the local community and is regularly recognised for its work on a national scale, winning numerous Parliamentary Awards since 2008.

Story

Xledger UK are going back on the bikes! A team will be cycling from Bristol to Paris over the course of three days, and the rest of the office will be covering the same distance on Pelotons from the comfort of our office.

We are raising money for the Bristol Bears Community Foundation to go towards their programmes that are proven to change the lives of people across Bristol and the South West.

The charity works with over 8,000 people from the local community each year and is regularly recognised for its work on a national scale. The Foundation delivers a broad range of programmes across the South West of England, serving the community across four key areas: education, participation, health, and inclusion.

Through the power of sport, the Foundation aims to inspire every young and older person it works with, helping them to unlock their potential.

Xledger will be primarily fundraising for the Bear in Mind programme and the Bright Sparks programmes - both aimed at helping 10-16 year old girls and boys with their health and wellbeing, and navigating the challenges of growing up in the modern world.

More information about the programmes can be found at https://www.bristolbearsrugby.com/our-community/about-us/

The riders from Xledger are:

Flo Courtade

Taylor Stevens

Al Cole

Sam Dodge

Ben Stone

We will also be joined by Geraint Lewis and Craig Capel from the Foundation for the first day of the ride, covering around 100 miles.
