Olympias Music Foundation (OMF) is a music charity in Manchester that champions diversity and equality in music. Since 2015, OMF has delivered 15,000 free lessons to 250+ children from low-income families, enabling them to participate in music and receive musical education, where there are no free individual music lessons in local schools.

Unfortunately, learning music is becoming an activity exclusive to the wealthy elite. 80% of classical musicians have parents with a degree and children from low-income families “have virtually no chance of becoming a musician” (Creating a More Inclusive Classical Music - Arts Council England 2021).

That's why I would like to raise £1000 for OMF (+ entire amount will be matched by my employer). This will ensure continuous instrumental lessons for at least 4 children for the full academic year. With your help, we can make sure that everyone has access to music education regardless of their background or financial situation.
