Walking on the coal isn’t something I do on regular basis but it resonates with us and what life felt like at times, until we found nurturing environment that could support very complex needs my son has.

As a mum of an autistic son, I've learnt that progress is rarely measured in giant leaps. It's found in the small victories that many people take for granted.

Every step I take across those hot coals is a small way of saying thank you to the people who have walked beside our family for so many years.
