Story
YAS Pink October.
Breast Cancer Now's wear it pink day is one of the biggest fundraising events in the UK. Taking place in October during Breast Cancer Awareness Month, thousands of amazing people will wear it pink in their communities, schools or workplaces, to help make life-changing breast cancer research and support to those who are going through it.
“Pink October”, Laura Leslie, Jo Clarke and Wendy Booth along with your help will be raising awareness for breast cancer throughout the month of October in our centres. Breast cancer can mean different things to different people, for some it’s a trigger – 31 days of pink ribbon reminders of a disease that forever changed them for others it’s a chance to show their support. So come on let’s get pink for October and show our support.
We would like to invite you to a coffee and cake day on the 18th October which will be held at both EOC’s and in the canteen. Where we are having a ‘guess the cake weight’ the winner will receive the cake as their prize.
We have made some pink ribbons that we are selling for £1 which you can find in reception or you can come and see one of us to collect them.
We will be sharing our stories, and information about how to check those boobs too to keep an eye out in the mess rooms of both EOC’s
Any donations are appreciated!
Thank you!
Laura, Wendy and Jo
