I am collecting donations for poor families and orphans in Karbala. These are two appeals in one.

Firstly, I am collecting donations for Ramadhan food baskets. Each food basket costs around 70,000 Iraqi dinars (approx £40). I am happy to share a 3 minute video showing the full contents of the food basket, upon request (the video is in Arabic).

Each food basket will last around 15 days and will contain cheese, tomato paste, cooking oil, powdered milk, macaroni, vermicelli, date syrup, lentils, mung beans, white beans, chickpeas, raisons, eggs, rice (4.5Kg bag), chicken, possibly meat if enough donations are raised, dates, tea and sugar.

The second appeal will be for marriage costs and basic amenities/household appliances/furniture and possibly healthcare costs and general living costs, based on the need.

Please let me know (by WhatsApp) if your donation is for the Ramadhan food basket, or for the second appeal, or both. If you do not specify, the donations will be used as needed.

This appeal is open for a short period of time only as the funds will need to be sent to Karbala very soon.
