Did you know? Hospices across England provide direct support services to 60,000 family members, friends and carers each year. By committing to walk 60 miles in March, you’ll raise money to help us continue to provide our essential services.

Story

This March, we’re taking on the 60 Miles in March challenge in Year 7. Together, we’re aiming to cover 60 miles across the month — getting outside, getting active and supporting a great cause at the same time.

For us, this challenge is about much more than just the miles. It’s about encouraging our pupils to prioritise their wellbeing, spend time in nature and build healthy habits that can last a lifetime. Whether walking, running or simply enjoying the fresh air, we want our young people to experience the positive impact that staying active can have on both physical and mental health.

It’s also a fantastic opportunity to strengthen our sense of community. Taking part together helps pupils support one another, celebrate progress and feel part of something bigger. By setting a shared goal, we’re building resilience, teamwork and confidence along the way.

While we’re focusing on wellbeing and community, we’re also proud to be raising money for a meaningful local cause nominated by one of our Year 7 pupils who have felt direct support from the hospice. Every donation helps turn our miles into something even more powerful.

Thank you for supporting our school as we challenge ourselves, grow together and make a difference.
