My name is Yeliz. I am 9 years old and for my 10th birthday I would like to host an event to raise money for SNAP. SNAP is a charity in Essex that gives help and support to families of children with additional needs or disabilities. Their work is incredibly important. Families want to support their children, but sometimes it's hard for them to find out what options there are to listen when things get too much and remind families how important what they do for their children is.

In meetings and assessments there is a lot of focus on the struggles that children face. Whilst I get why this is, in this event, I want to show the things we can achieve.

I am really passionate about ice skating and my additional needs won't stop me from achieving my goals. And they don't stop me from enjoying myself when I'm skating. I am hoping to inspire children like me to know that they can follow their dreams. And I'm hoping to encourage the people around them to support them in achieving their dreams, even when it seems hard.

So, I kindly ask that you join me in donating to SNAP and enjoy my opening ice skating dance routine on 30 July 2022 at Riverside Ice Rink Victoria Road Chelmsford CM1 1FG at 16:15 - 18:30. There is going to be lots of fun and games on the ice for chilldren and adults, a fundraising raffle draw with exciting prizes and drinks, snacks and cake on the day.
