Raising Explorers's fundraiser for Yemen Bakery

Raising Explorers have team up with Human Appeal this Ramadan, and have taken up the challenge to fundraise for the Yemen Bakery Project.
The project involves providing a semi-automatic bakery to the orphanage house in Sana’a, to produce 10,800 approx loafs of Arabic bread per day to support 1,200 orphans with 9 bread supply per orphan for two years period, also to decorate the bakery reception, and provision of diesel generator. The selection of beneficiaries and implementing partner will be based on a comprehensive assessment of their priority, vulnerability, and the charity's capacity to manage the bakery effectively.
The bakery will specialize in producing Arabic bread. Additionally, the orphanage will receive two months' worth of raw materials and diesel to ensure a smooth transition towards self-sufficiency in bread production as the extra production will be sold to the market to cover the running cost for the baker. By implementing this project, the targeted orphanage will have a sustainable bread supply, enhancing the quality of care and support for the vulnerable individuals they serve.
The project specifically aims to alleviate the suffering of groups most affected by the Yemen conflict, particularly vulnerable orphans who lack the means to prepare fresh bread. These orphans often resort to coping strategies such as reducing food portions and skipping meals.
This project is Zakat applicable.
