2025 marks the 90th birthday of the iconic hostel, YHA Windermere. The team are always looking at creative fundraising ideas and this is the most ambitious.

9 Days - 90 Mountains - £900

Saturday 23rd - Sunday 31st August

Over the course of 9 days, the team will try to summit 90 of the Lakes finest mountains, all alongside the normal working week and busy school holidays.

It works out as 10 mountains per day for the team, or 9 mountains per person across the duration.

The progress will be updated daily in the hostel and on the official facebook page.

All mountains must be categorised as a Wainwright, each Wainwright can only be summited once, and a photo taken as proof.

All proceeds will be going to YHA's Breaks programme, delivering free and subsided residential trips for young people who are most in need.
