Our Annual Fund and STEPS program are now combined together and aims to provide wider audiences the opportunity to experience community in a family camp setting.

Here is what some of our campers have said about their experience:

“Northern Lights amplifies each of us. It brings out nostalgia for me for day camp as a little kid and north woods camping as an older kid. It gives my husband the camp experience he didn't have as a kid, that he now wishes he had. For our son who has developmental differences, it's a place he has truly rare freedom to come and go from us as he pleases and hang out with friends independently. He said he "feels big" at Northern Lights. And for our daughter... Well, let's just say, at age 8, she's already declared herself a "JLDP" (Junior LDP), joined the counselor chorus up front in a repeat after us song, made herself a Y badge, and asked Grace when she can apply.”

“Camp is a sacred space. We come to the quiet, and it feels so far from the stress and worry of life back home. Because of limited connectivity (but we love that it’s there if you need it!), we got to really have quality time with our family and others. The time feels slow and sweet, and almost like an alternate universe of how we wish the world would/could be.”

Help us create more amazing experiences for families! All proceeds of this fundraiser goes straight back to camper families, by way of our scholarships, so that no family is unable to attend camp due to financial concerns.
