Velindre Cancer Charity is back with a brand new event – Devil In The Hills Bike Ride. Led by Velindre Charity Patron Shane Williams and proudly sponsored by Bbi Group and Asbri Planning, this event is sure to be a huge success!

Story

On Sunday 29th March 2026, I'll be joining Velindre Charity Patron Shane Williams for a brand new event - Devil In The Hills Bike Ride.

The routes carve their way through the breathtaking landscapes of the Brecon Beacons, including two of the region’s most iconic and formidable climbs: The Devil’s Staircase and The Devil’s Elbow.

I am doing this in memory of my lovely Mam. I will be supported by my husband Gareth, who is bravely taking on the challenge of coaching me for the event. He will be riding by my side for the 42 miles of The Devil’s Elbow.

For those of you that have witnessed my sporting prowess, this is going to be quite the challenge! If you can spare any of your precious pounds to sponsor me and spur me on in my training I would be enormously garteful.

You will be helping to raise vital funds for Velindre Cancer Centre, also known as, The Hospital of Hope.

Velindre Cancer Charity provides services above NHS provisions by investing in supportive care services, funding innovative technologies, and driving forward transformative research and clinical trials.

Did you know? Each year, Velindre Charity dedicates £1.5 million of funding to pioneering research and clinical trials. Today, the charity contributes funding to over 40 active clinical trials.

Together, we will achieve Victory Over Cancer.
