Story
We are the Mental Health & Wellbeing colleague group at Stowe Family Law. This June, we are excited/terrified to be taking a representative group to do the Yorkshire 3 Peaks challenge.
The 3 Peaks is a 24-mile walk across 3 mountains in the Yorkshire Dales, Pen-y-ghent, Whernside and Ingleborough.
We are raising money for Mind, the Mental Health Charity.
Walkers are: Susie Kybett, Lauren Naylor, Tahleema Begum, Jo Childs, Rachel Fisher and Pooja Patel.
Stowe Family Law is the UK's largest specialist family law firm. We have offices based across England and Wales, helping people move forward after family breakdown.
Our reasons for walking are manifold. We want to raise money for a national charity that supports people suffering from poor mental health. As lawyers, and those working in the legal sector, we know how mental health can be a real issue, keeping wellbeing a priority is not always possible. The legal sector reports some of the highest stress, burnout and anxiety rates, so looking after our people is really important to us.
Secondly, those going through family breakdown and difficulties are at increased risk of a mental health issue. Mind, and other amazing organisations and individual professionals work tirelessly to support these people, and we want to contribute to this work.
Finally, we want to raise awareness of the work we are doing as the MH&Wellbeing group to reduce stigma, really listen to the needs of colleagues, and influence policy.
Any donation will go directly to Mind. Thank you for your generosity.
