On Saturday 27th June 2026, 4 members of the Yorkshire Fence Hire team will be taking on the Total Warrior, 12k Warrior challenge at Bramham Park in Leeds. Whilst this will be a challenge in itself we are also aiming to raise as much money as we can for the Candlelighters Charity in Leeds

For those that don’t know Candlelighters, they are an outstanding charity who help support children with cancer and their families. They rely heavily in income from fundraising events and with everyone’s help, we are looking to raise a minimum of £1,100 to aid them in the amazing work that they do.

Although the money we raise may seem like a small amount in the grand scheme, it would be enough to enable Candlelighters to treat a family to a holiday to enjoy precious time away from treatments and create special memories and moments with their loved ones –

“Our Candlelighters holiday to Center Parcs was absolutely the break we needed as a family. It takes so much out of you as a family going back and forth to the hospital for treatment, so being given the opportunity to get away for a few days - to just be a family, not think about cancer and let the kids just be kids - was amazing. It couldn’t have been more welcomed.” Hannah, Mum to Matilda

Yorkshire Fence Hire are extremely proud to be able to represent such an amazing charity but the real heroes are the people who donate to the cause. If you’re able to contribute, any donation – big or small – will go directly towards the tireless efforts that the people at Candlelighters put in every day and will have a direct impact on the lives of children suffering with cancer.

Candlelighters will have a marquee in the event village over the weekend of the event and they would love for you all to call in for a snack/drink and have a chat.
