Story
As a group (Jude, Ethan, Jayden, Michael and Jack), we have decided to undertake the Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge. We have set ourselves the goal of doing it under 12 hours, which may seem quite hard, given our experience as a a group. However we believe it is a worthy challenge for a worthy cause. The Yorkshire 3 peaks challenge is a circular walk which encompasses three major peaks in the Yorkshire Dales, Pen-Y-Ghent, Whernside, and Ingleborough, which is approximately 24 miles or 38.6km. We understand if you are unable to give money and are immensely grateful if you do. If you are unable to give, spreading the word of our challenge is just as important, as the greater the people that are aware of our challenge, the greater amount of money we will be able to raise. Thank you for your support and kindness.
The Throat Cancer Foundation are dedicated to reducing the impact of throat cancers on individuals and wider society. They are there to offer support, and want to ensure that anyone affected, including the person who has cancer, their friends, and their loved ones, has access to the most up to date information available regarding their illness, the available treatments, and what to expect in recovery.
Hello, our names are Ethan and Jude and we are two fifteen year old boys who are looking to complete the Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge to raise money for Throat Cancer Foundation. We are doing this as Cancer has recently effected a close family member and nobody deserves to go through that. We believe that cancer can be stopped and that’s why we need to raise as much money as possible for the Throat Cancer Foundation to stop it from affecting anymore people across the world. We have picked the Yorkshire Three Peaks as it is where we are from and so it’s close to home and so it gives us a good challenge. We hope that you can donate any amount or even just hold us a piece of luck. Thank you everyone for your support.
Hello, my name is Jayden and I am also a 15 year old boy looking to complete the Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge. I have decided, alongside Jude and Ethan, to support the Throat Cancer Foundation as their work is vital in combating the devastating effects of Throat Cancer. Unfortunately, my great granddad suffered with throat cancer whilst he was alive, but luckily he managed to get the all clear. Furthermore, cancer has unfortunately taken lives in my family, with my grandad and great granddad being victims of it- so this cause has a deeper meaning to me. The need to spread awareness and funds for this cause is vital as it mercilessly takes thousands of lives each year. Despite my previous fundraising attempts, I believe this may be the hardest challenge set out for me yet, as I haven't completed an event under such strict time constraints. Reiterating Ethan and Jude's point, I hope that you can donate as much as you can, however I understand the high costs of basic needs- so even just spreading the word of our event is just as helpful. Thank you for your support.
