This year we wish to raise £1000 for the World Wildlife Fund by doing a 100 mile~ walk from Wakefield to Northern Wales. We aim to do this around summer time. A big difference this time is the inclusion of other groups joining us following our plan and helping us raise even more money for an amazing cause. These wonderful lads and lasses will be credited on this page when we have more details.

I study politics at Pontefract New College and am a member of student executive. Our last walk for Andys Mans club ,a men's mental health charity, is one me and the lads supported greatly relating with our own experiences. The World Wildlife Fund to me is also something I am very passionate about. Our planet is our only home. We all share it with other people and other species and we should play a role to protect our great and vast biodiversity as it is what makes our planet so beautiful. We need to put our planet first and its many diverse inhabitants before profit or anything else. There is no second planet, so this is why I am proud to be walking for the WWF and for our Earth.

I study at Leeds City College. The last time I participated in a walk for charity with my friends I enjoyed it very much, Andy’s man club is a very important charity that means a lot to me as someone who has had hardships in the past and is now thankful to have a supportive community surrounding me in which I have formed a much happier lifestyle. The World Wildlife Fund (WWF) is one I have always loved. I have always loved the environment, it’s my favourite part of this wonderful world we live in and one that is widely neglected by the people who actively kill it day by day. When I was very young I’d ask my mum each time I’d see it on television if we could donate to save a snow leopard through the WWF and now I am so proud to be walking for them and hope to do them proud and finish this walk. Our planet is one we need to protect and this is something I am truly passionate about, we were fortunate enough to be birthed on such a beautiful earth, one with vast oceans, millions of species of animals, and the naturally beautiful environment they can call their home. And yet despite this we’re still killing it, this is something we need to put an end to, we only get one lifetime and one planet for our future and for our future generation’s future. I want to save our planet - this is why I am proud to be walking with the WWF

I am a student at Wakefield college who studies animal care. I have always had a fascination and appreciation for animals which is why I wish to dedicate my life to preserving the various species and environments that make our planet so great. My friends and I have previously completed a charity walk for Andy's Mans club which is a charity that supports men's mental health which we all related to, I feel that this heavily contributed to the success of the completion of the Filey walk and I aim to bring that same determination on this walk too. This is why this second walk is so important to me and is why I am proud to walk for the World Wildlife Fund.
