Story
On July 20th, I'll be completing the Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge to raise money for The Mitchy Foundation.
The Mitchy Foundation is a newly formed charity set up in memory of Michael "Mitchy" Badnall by his son, Bobby, and daughter, Hollie who lost their dad to a sudden and unexpected heart attack. The two have converted their grief into motivation to prevent other families suffering such devastation.
The Mitchy Foundation is dedicated to preventing sudden heart attacks and cardiovascular disease. They fund pop-up screening around the UK where they provide cardiovascular risk assessments to uncover health risks before it's too late.
The Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge is a 24-miles (38.6km) round trip route, and includes 1585m (5200ft) of ascent, taking on the three tallest peaks of Yorkshire all in one day.
The money raised through this effort will go directly towards further screening. On average, £25 will fund one full cardiovascular screening appointment.
Please donate whatever you can to this incredible cause.
