My grandmother passed away from breast cancer when my mother was just 24, and I never got the chance to meet her. From what I've heard, she would have been an incredible "Mamie." It's heartbreaking to think about how many families are affected by cancer, first hand or second hand. Right now, there are about 3 million people living with cancer in the UK. That’s a staggering number of little girls who may never get to know their grandmothers, and daughters who had to say goodbye too soon.
