My name is Ythan and I’ve just turned 12. I’m running 3 kilometres every day for a whole year to raise money for Heather’s Heroes.

I’m doing this in memory of my Dad's cousin Heather, who sadly passed away. She was a really kind person who always cared about helping other people.

Heather’s husband Allan set up Heather’s Heroes to carry on the kindness and support that Heather believed in. I wanted to do something challenging to help raise money for the charity and to remember her in a positive way.

Running every day isn’t always easy, but I think about why I’m doing it and it helps me keep going. I hope that by doing this, I can help make a difference and show how much Heather meant to all of us.
