Story
Bridge Clubs all over Worcestershire are taking part in the EBU National Festival of Bridge which is raising money for Cancer Research UK and wanting to spotlight the game of Bridge and encourage more people to play!
Bridge is great fun. Anyone, any age, living anywhere in the County or Country can play bridge! All you need is a flat surface, playing cards (or a computer) and preferably somewhere to sit. It is great for exercising your mind, socialising , and continuous learning - usually through one's mistakes! It costs very little to play.
If you live in Worcestershire, or surrounding area, or are visiting, please join us at one of our events. Clubs are doing their own event/s during the first two weeks in September, - look at what's on at your Club! Some additional events across the County during the Festival are: Cafe Bridge in Pershore - Thursday, 5th September, Worcester, 11th September and Barnt Green, 12th September plus a "Bridge - Everywhere!" event in Worcester on Saturday, 5th September. There will be taster sessions and lessons across the County in the Autumn - do come along.
If you are on this page because you are giving - thank you very much! If you are on this page and want to know more about playing bridge - do contact richard jephcott@outsideinsight.co.uk 07831 388509 or yvettewaide@hotmail.com 07581 531371.
We are all touched by Cancer at sometime in our lives - ourselves, our family, our friends. Thus the work that Cancer Research is doing to help to understand Cancer and pioneer more and more ways to treat it will benefit everyone. Please give generously and help us fight cancer whilst playing the game we enjoy.
