Story
I thought my half marathon days were over but last year my childhood friend sadly lost her husband after a short illness. Princess Alice were a huge support to Adrian, Sarah and family at a very sad time and having volunteered for my local hospice I have seen first hand the great work that they do but they need fundraisers to keep going.
So that explains why despite a deal of trepidation I have been inspired to lace up my running shoes and take on the challenge of running 21km for my friend once again. On 6th April I will be running the London Landmarks Half, a nice flat course, please dig deep, it will mean a lot to me, my friend and her family.
Princess Alice Hospice provides a comprehensive range of services that respond to the individual needs of patients and their families, so that they can live life to the full, create memories, share special moments and when the time comes, support them through, before and after the death of a loved one.
It costs us £10 million each year to provide free, high quality specialist end of life care to tens of thousands of people with life threatening illnesses. We rely on wonderful supporters like you to help us to generate thousands of pounds through participating in London Landmarks Half Marathon.
