Greetings!

Many of you know I started volunteering for Crisis at Christmas (C@C) in 2018, the year Mum left this life; know she's beaming with pride that I'm volunteering to end homelessness🙏🏾

It means a lot to me being of service every year since 2018, only missing 2024 (#MeTime) and oh how I missed Bingo calling on Christmas Day!

I'm looking forward to returning to C@C and being part of women-led hotel* for women, including trans women and non-binary people. I'll be volunteering on 22, 25, 26, 28 Dec, 1 & 3 Jan🎄

*Crisis have asked volunteers not disclose the hotel location to keep Guests safe.

From 2018 - 2020 | volunteered as a Yoga Teacher (online only on 2020). Since 2021 l've been volunteering as an Activities Organiser (AO) working alongside another AO leading a

team of volunteers offering a wide variety of activities/services; arts and crafts, hairdressing, massage, portrait painting, supporting digital skills, nail art, yoga/pilates, football coaching plus more and as already stated, the most popular activity, Bingo!

Last year it was wonderful to see women enjoying the hotel facilities, a private room, being supported with advice services from healthcare to housing and enjoying activities; day trips, massages, manicures and pedicures were well attended but once again, it was Bingo that took the most popular prize! (And apparently I'm a good Bingo caller!😊).

Every £29.80 raised could help provide...

hot meals and a Christmas lunch

help with a safe place to stay

hotel accommodation for those most in need

a long-term personal lead worker

year-round support, including training and education

advice on housing, employment, welfare and benefits

companionship from volunteers

health and wellbeing programmes

support to leave homelessness behind for good

Each year I multiply the Crisis donation by 10 - the number of yoga mats I took to my first C@C in 2018 at Hackney Day Centre. Every year I smash the target with your awesome kindness and generosity🙏🏾

Last year that kindness raised £1,425 for C@C, the most I've raised since 2018🎈THANK YOU SO MUCH🙏🏾
